Jan7th - We had a great turnout at our Sunday brunch at Home Town
Buffet. Thirty people attended including guests Jerry and Dave and new
members Terry and Teri. We had our choice of breakfast and/or
lunch.
February 17th - Movie and hot tub
party at Les and Debbie's. A huge sandwich and Woody Allen were the
guests of honor for the evening.
April 7th - Lunch at
Harvey's. Still a little too cold for the pool but the company was
great!
April 22nd - What
a fabulous home Bob & Alys have up in the hill country of
Kerrville! A large group of us enjoyed their hospitality at a pot
luck on Sunday. It was a little windy, but we still enjoyed their
deck and hot tub overlooking the beautiful hill country. And what a
surprise--Ken visited us all the way from New Mexico! It was great
seeing him again. He says he misses us, and we can say the same.
May 19th - Our trip to our favorite place on the
Medina river. This is a view of the house from the
river.
We can walk up the river and enjoy nature naturally. We
also enjoyed a great Frisbee game while walking.
Next time: Volleyball! So be ready to play.

May 27th - Memorial Day
Weekend at Diane and Terry's was truly a Memorable day. They have sold their
home, so if you missed May 27th, you missed the last party at their house. Not
to worry, hopefully by fall they will be in their new home. It may not have a
pool for a while, but eventually they will have a new pool for everyone to
enjoy. We had about 15 people to laze around the pool and relax. The hot dogs,
salads and desserts were all delicious. We had two visitors, Allan and
Todd.
June 24th - Our first party at
Roxie's. Great potluck munchies and volleyball practice so we
can whup all the other clubs again next time we have a
tournament.
July 14th - Party at Harvey and Jeff's. I
counted about 30 people today. We had sausage, chicken, roast beef and
lots of other goodies. It is definitely summer now. The
weatherman predicted 100 degrees and it sure felt like it. It's not so bad
when you're naked. Maybe the world would be a better place if we all
got naked.
August 11th - Party at
Harvey and Jeff's
September 8th - Jim and Nancy were wonderful hosts at
Herb’s house on Saturday, September 8. They whipped up a batch of
spaghetti and meat sauce that really hit the spot. There was a goodly
amount of side dishes brought by everyone who attended and a plethora of
desserts. We counted 25 attendees including 10 guests. The guests included
Cindy & Rich from Riverside who signed up as BRS members that day.
Additional guests were Joe, Robert, Ralph, Jim, Jeanette
& Carlos, Don, and Richard’s guest, Kathryn. Here’s just a few of the

September 16 - A smaller crowd gathered at Harvey &
Jeff’s for a pot luck lunch and swim on Sunday but the hospitality was as
gracious as always. Harvey must be able to fix chicken 116 different ways never
repeating the same recipe. (And that’s not a bad thing!) The chicken de jour was
curried much to the delight of those attending.
December
15th- A great turnout at our Christmas party at Richard's. It's
been a great year. Here's to another one just like it. Thanks
to everyone for all the fun.
