Herb and Mary were all set for the dreary, rainy day on Sunday, February 22. They had set up card, dominoes and board games for everyone; however, the weather apparently scared a lot of people away. We had about 10 members present and as usual the food was excellent. We had visitors (seniors) from Texas State University in San Marcos. They are taking a PR class and picked SWSA to try and help them improve their image with the members. They were there to ask some questions about our feelings and what we wanted from SWSA. They took a survey and are putting together a program to show SWSA what improvements they feel could possibly help relations with the clubs. Nancy says it was an interesting day.

A cool rainy day didn’t keep us from getting together at Harvey & Jeff’s on Saturday, April 24, including Nancy’s guest, Karlo. Sean & Cecilia hosted the event and provided a barbecue lunch. As an unexpected treat, our pre-meal entertainment was watching Harvey on Public Access TV (cable channel 20) giving a talk on the German Freethinkers who settled in the Texas Hill Country! Can prime time TV be far behind for him? JCecilia made some animal balloons as decorations. Hmm, Harvey a talk show host and Cecilia a balloon artist – any other hidden talents are out there in BRS-Land?
